Dr. Carolyn A. Martin
Dr. Carolyn A. Martin is a world-class educator, author, keynote speaker and Master Trainer for RainmakerThinking, Inc.® Carolyn semi-retired at the end of 2007 and she currently works on a part-time basis.

An expert on generational differences in the workplace and on leading management practices, Carolyn helps organizations get the best work out of the best people on a consistent basis.

Through her dynamic presentations, Carolyn has touched the lives of thousands of professionals throughout North America, the UK, and Japan, and has consistently received rave reviews for her humor, practicality and passion.

With Bruce Tulgan, she is the co-author of Managing Generation Y (HRD Press, 2001), Managing the Generation Mix (HRD Press, 2nd Edition, 2006) and The Customer Service Intervention (HRD Press, 2003). Her work has been cited in dozens of professional publications around the world, including US News and World Report, The LA Times, Global HR, and Nursing Management. She has also appeared on CNBC and has been interviewed by NPR in the United States and Austria.

Carolyn's recent clients include Safeway, USBank, the Department of Veteran Affairs, Starbucks, Providence Health Systems, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, and the Society of Human Resource Management.

Carolyn holds a Ph.D. in English from Rutgers University. She served as an Associate Professor and Dean of Student Services at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ. She is also a published poet, as well as the author of five management training programs.


Jeff Coombs
Jeff Coombs is a co-founder of RainmakerThinking, Inc.® and he runs all of our business operations. Jeff was raised in Indiana and he received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. He started his career in the computer systems industry and was employed by Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Symix Computer Systems. Jeff spends his time away from the office in Stamford, CT, and Hyannis, MA with his wife, Gail. Jeff and Bruce have been friends since 1983, when they served together as US Congressional Pages in Washington, DC.
